Our "One Piece" Fiberglass Pools are manufactured with exacting quality control standards and transported to your jobsite. The pools composition consists of a durable non-porous gel coat interior finish usually reinforced on the back with a composite material - primarily fiberglass-reinforced plastic.
- Most manufacturers offer many varieties of sizes and shapes.
- Newer color technologies mean fiberglass pools offer a wide range of options for the simple to the sophisticated buyer.
- Many options are available that give fiberglass pools a permanent aesthetic appeal.
The construction process involves a number of steps to include digging a hole that matches the shape of the pool. Sand or pea gravel is then washed into the voided areas simultaneously while the pool is being filled to create a solid base for the pool to rest against. Once this backfill process is complete, plumbing, equipment placement and decking area all addressed to complete the pool.
Considerations
Design
You will be able to choose from a variety of shapes and sizes to fit your
backyard and entertainment needs. Bench seating, swim outs, and other
designs vary by size and models. Depths vary by model with only a few
manufacturers offering pools deep enough for a diving board. Pools of
these depths offer unique challenges in the building process and usually
cost and take more time to install.
Interior Finish
Colors and texture looking finishes are available on limited manufacturer
basis and as most colors, may fade over time from UV exposure. Although
these pools may cost more to purchase, they offer a very unique appearance
and hide blemishes, stains and dirt very well. Optional tile border and
inlaid tile mosaics are features that can add life and color to your pool.
There are a variety of lightening options to make your pool safer as well
as bring it to life at night.
Decking and Coping
Decking choices are unlimited - exposed fiberglass coping for the economy
minded individual. Stained, stamped, or cantilevered for the more permanent
aesthetic appeal of a more sophisticated buyer. Coping choices can be
stone or brick with a number of different textures, profiles, and coordinated
colors.
Upgrade Possibilities & Accessories
Most features can be added after installation, but it is generally more
cost effective to include the features you desire at the time of initial
installation. Many options are available such as spillover spas, waterfalls,
hydrotherapy jets / equipment, computer command centers, and modern sanitizing
systems. In addition, there are also a number of accessories and outdoor
activity centers to compliment your pool area and vary by builder.
